According to a news article, the Helsinki City Library is educating consumers how to use Skype. That's all very nice, but do they realize Skype is a closed and proprietary VoIP system, with no support for open standards such as SIP and RTP? Personally, I don't believe that's a good way to build a future of interoperable and free VoIP communications for everybody. We don't need any more Microsofts and lockins to closed formats and protocols.
